HomeCare+ Support Worker Recruitment
Stage 1 – Essential Requirements
All applicants must have the basic requirements to meet the position description based on HomeCare+ policy and the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Directives.
- DCSI Child Related Clearance. A DCSI form is available here
- Provide First Aid Certificate – HLTAID003. For a list of suggested first aid training agencies, please click here
- Minimum qualification of a Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community Care
- Australian Citizen or have a working visa
Stage 2 – Application
When you have all the essential requirements to meet the minimum standards for the position, lodge an online application. Once your application has been lodged, the HR Department will get to work processing your application, assessing your knowledge and skills against the job requirements.
Stage 3 – Personal Assessment
The personal assessment includes a Numeracy and Literacy Assessment. Invitations to sit the assessment will be forwarded by the HR Department to applicants that have been assessed and meet the job requirements.

Stage 4 – The Interview
The interview is a formal face to face meeting to discuss you. The interview will be conducted by a two (2) member panel and will provide an opportunity for HomeCare+ to assess you against a number of core qualities and values.
Stage 5 – Reference Checks
All short listed applicants will have their references checked. The referees will be contacted by a member of the HR Department. A minimum of two (2) referees are required; a referee cannot be a relative or friend.
Successful progression through all five (5) stages of the recruitment process will see you progress onto the eligibility list to await an offer of placement to the next scheduled Pre-employment session.
