    The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of SA Inc., (PQSA) was formed in 1963 and since then has grown to be the peak community body supporting people with Spinal Cord Injury to live their potential. HomeCare+ is our business arm and began operations in 1989 providing in-home support to people with disabilities and special needs to ensure that they reach their full potential. We currently operate 6 offices around South Australia and employ approximately 650 staff.

    About the Role

    We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, passionate Work, Health and Safety Coordinator to join our expanding team. In this newly created full-time, permenant position, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing PQSA safety systems and ensuring that PQSA is compliant and adheres to Work, Health and Safety (WHS) regulations to reduce work-related injuries.

      We are looking for someone with the following:

      • A Diploma of Work, Health and Safety or similar
      • 3+ years of experience in a safety role in the Disability sector or related industry
      • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of excellent customer service
      • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people
      • Proven ability to manage and prioritise workloads
      • Outstanding organisational skills
      • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
      • A Certificate IV in Training and assessment would be desirable
